Whitewater Basin Trail #700 begins on the south side of Whitewater Basin from the upper trailhead and contours around to the north side of the basin, crossing several branches of Whitewater Creek on the way. It may be considered difficult due to the steep terrain which some sections traverse. The Whitewater Basin Trail is the only developed trail in Whitewater Basin and is used mostly in the fall during hunting season.  It is a good day-use trail for hikers and horseback riders and offers many scenic vistas.

Turn left and travel on this road for about 60 yards until it crosses a stream (North Fork Kannah Creek) and reaches a “T” intersection.  Take the left fork at the intersection and travel west on this road for 0.8 miles to the location where another dirt road forks right (north).
